10 reasons you should consider before you decide to study abroad!!!!
1. Study visa is expensive - immigration is economical;
2. Student visa may be fast process but time taken to get PR of that country may be long or you may not qualify for immigration;
3. Type of educational institute recruiting you may not be of repute.
4. As an international student you may not be allowed to work or you may not get desire job.
5. Your tuition fees may not be used only to pay your fees but also to pay huge commission to your agent.
6. Do not get impressed by title of your course.
7. Do not presume that getting student visa, you will get dependent visa and immigration visa as well.
8. Student visa is uncertain
9. Consider business and professional immigration.
10. Agent who is giving free services may not be working in your best interest.
11. There is no such thing as "Study and work in ........

ReplyDeleteYou are very right in many points you have made. There are, however, more options available for study abroad/work abroad than those that you've set out.
In countries (such as Australia) a South Asian student is permitted to work 20 hours per week during his study time, and there are no limitations on work during holidays and semester breaks.
As an education and vocational guidance counselor, I have lived and worked in India for more than 12 years. I believe it is the moral duty of the counselor to be clear and honest about the work and study options, along with the subsequent immigration prospects.
Unfortunately in India, the vast majority of "agents" do not work by this code of ethics.
So yes ... buyer beware .....!!
